In the cation of the title compound, [Pd(C(26)H(19)NO(3)P)(C(26)H(24)P(2))]CF(3)O(3)S·CH(2)Cl(2)·0.5C(6)H(14), the Pd(II) atom has a slightly tetra-hedrally distorted square-planar coordination geometry. The PdC(3)P and PdC(2)P(2) five-membered metallacycles adopt envelope and twist conformations, respectively. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link cations and anions into a three-dimensional network. The dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule is disordered over three orientations with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.5/0.3/0.2. The n-hexane solvent mol-ecule has a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry.

[Aquabis(nitrato-κO)copper(II)]-μ-{bis[5-methyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]selenide}-[diaqua(nitrato-κO)copper(II)] nitrate monohydrate

2012

In the title binuclear complex, [Cu2(NO3)3(C18H16N6Se)(H2O)3]NO3·H2O, the Cu(II) ions are penta-coordinated in a tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry. In both cases, the equatorial planes are formed by a chelating pyrazole-pyridine group, a water mol-ecule and a nitrate O atom, whereas the apical positions are occupied by a water mol-ecule for one Cu(II) ion and a nitrate O atom for the other. The organic selenide ligand adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C-Se-C plane. Numerous inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the coordinating and lattice water mol-ecules, nitrate anions and pyrazole groups are observed. π-π stacking inter-actions between the pyridine rings [av…

In the binuclear title complex, [Cu2(ClO4)1.5(NO3)1.5(C18H16N6Se)(H2O)5]NO3·H2O, both Cu(II) ions are hexa-coordinated by O and N atoms, thus forming axially elongated CuO4N2 octa-hedra. The equatorial plane of each octa-hedron is formed by one chelating pyrazole-pyridine fragment of the organic ligand and two water mol-ecules. The axial positions in one octa-hedron are occupied by a water mol-ecule and a monodentately coordinated perchlorate anion, while those in the other are occupied by a nitrate anion and a disordered perchlorate/nitrate anion with equal site occupancy. The pyrazole-pyridine units of the organic selenide are trans-oriented to each other with a C-Se-C angle of 96.01 (14)…

[(1R,4S)-(+)-3-Benzoyl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-olato-κ2 O 2,O 3](η4-norbornadiene)rhodium(I)

2010

In the title complex mol-ecule, [Rh(C(17)H(19)O(2))(C(7)H(8))], the rhodium(I) metal centre is coordinated by the O atoms of a benzoyl-camphorate anion and the C=C bonds of the norbornadiene mol-ecule into a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry. The six-membered chelate ring is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0378 Å) and forms a dihedral angle of 31.67 (11)° with the phenyl ring.

[2,6-Bis(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)phenyl-κ3P,C1,P′](trifluoroacetato)palladium(II)

2010

The Pd(II) atom in the title compound, [Pd(C(2)F(3)O(2))(C(24)H(43)P(2))], adopts a distorted square-planar geometry with the P atoms in a trans arrangement, forming two five-membered chelate rings. Four intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. The crystal packing reveals one weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which self-assembles the mol-ecules into infinite chains parallel to the b axis.

cis-Bis(2-sulfidopyridine N-oxide)platinum(II).

2007

In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Pt(C5H4NOS)2], the Pt atom is coordinated by two O atoms and two S atoms in a cis configuration, forming a distorted square-planar coordination geometry. The molecule exhibits pseudo-C2v symmetry and is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation from planarity of 0.0124 (2) Å. The dihedral angle between the two pyridine rings is 5.85 (2)°.

cis-Dichloridobis(2-isocyanophenyl 4-methoxybenzoate)palladium(II) chloroform monosolvate

2012

In the title compound, [PdCl2(C15H11NO3)2]·CHCl3, the PdII atom adopts a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry composed of two Cl atoms in cis positions and two C atoms from isocyanophenyl ligands. The molecular conformation is stabilized by π–π stacking interactions [shortest centroid–centroid distance = 3.600 (1) Å] between substituted benzene rings of different ligands. The crystal packing is characterized by C—H...O and C—H...Cl interactions involving the chloroform solvent molecules.

Di-chlorido-[N-(N,N-di-methyl-carbamimido-yl)-N',N',4-tri-methyl-benzohydrazonamide]-platinum(II) nitro-methane hemisolvate.

2014

In the title compound, [PtCl2(C13H21N5)]·0.5CH3NO2, the PtIIatom is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry by two Cl atoms and two N atoms of the bidentate ligand. The (1,3,5-triazapentadiene)PtIImetalla ring is slightly bent and does not conjugate with the aromatic ring. In the crystal, N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds link the complex molecules, forming chains along [001]. The nitromethane solvent molecule shows half-occupancy and is disordered over two sets of sites about an inversion centre.

Bis(4-aminopyridinium) tetrachloridocobaltate(II)

2009

In the title compound, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(2)[CoCl(4)], the cobalt(II) ion is coordinated by four chloride ions in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding, forming a three-dimensional network. The crystal was a non-merohedral twin emulating tetra-gonal symmetry, but being in fact ortho-rhom-bic.

{2-[2,2-Bis(4,4-dimethyl-4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-yl- κN)propyl]pyridine}dichloridoiron(II)

2013

The title compound,[FeCl2(C18H25N3O2)], has a distorted tetra-hedral Cl2N2 coordination of the Fe(II) atom as a result of the constraints imposed by the 2-[2,2-bis-(4,4-dimethyl-4,5-di-hydro-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)prop-yl]pyridine ligand. The pyridine ring is almost perpendicular to the six-membered chelated ring containing the metal atom [dihedral angle between their mean planes = 88.5 (1)°].
